The Doomsday of the Stock Market

We have already seen some of the worst impacts that a stock market crash can have on a country, and even the global economy. The most recent global financial crisis hit the world hard, as many businesses became bankrupt and thousands of people worldwide lost their job.
As the economic recovery takes hold, and we go back to normalcy, is there a chance that something like that will ever happen again? Apparently, there is debate about whether the mass retirement of the baby boomers in the near future may doom the stock market. The baby boomers are a major force in the demographic of the entire world. There is worry that after their retirement, millions of them will shift their portfolio strategy from capital accumulation to capital preservation. This could mean slower growth in the global economy.
